Since 2012, the Research Office Dammam serves as an extension office of KAIMRC-ER. Over the past four years, the Office has received nine proposals from clinical staff and students for both local and international studies including two on-going trials. The main function of the Research Office is to assist researchers in conducting research and assign competent research coordinators to principle investigators.
An additional role of the Research Office is the continual support of education and promotion in conducting Research Educational Activities through workshops, courses and lectures in Al Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal Hospital, Dammam.

The Research Office in Dammam facilitates scientific review of proposals through assessment by eligible reviewers and assigning competent research coordinators to research studies. It plays a vital role in assisting researchers in Dammam by facilitating the approval process of all submitted research proposals and guidance of the process of submitting amendments and resubmissions.
