The Education & Promotion Section of the Eastern Region plays a vital role in creating a research environment by providing learning opportunities for researchers and medical professionals.
This section supports multidisciplinary medical and scientific research activities including workshops, conferences and symposia. The Research and Promotion section is also committed to creating a research environment that develops and retains world-class health and scientific researchers. The ultimate goal of our section is to foster a culture of collaboration and partnership with both public and private health sectors and academia at national and international levels.

The main functions of the Research and Education Promotion Section in the Eastern Region are to conduct research-related educational activities, such as educational courses and lectures. Some of the courses that are regularly conducted are an Introduction to Clinical Research, ICH-Good Clinical Practice, Statistics in Medical Research Course and Research Methodology.
This section also plans and conducts an annual research day, research workshops and conferences by inviting prominent researchers of regional, national and international level. A Research Intensive Summer Course is presented in collaboration with KSAU-HS College of Nursing in Eastern Region.
