KAIMRC has organized on July 12, 2016 in KAIMRC Auditorium, its General Staff Meeting for the second quarter of 2016 attended by H.E. Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, Chief Executive Officer, Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA) and President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS). The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ahmed Alaskar, Executive Director, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC). The meeting is part of a series of General Staff meetings organized on quarterly basis bringing together all KAIMRC team members, including researchers, research support staff, managers and administrators to discuss ongoing projects, challenges and strategic direction for the research center.
This meeting has shed light on a number of new achievements at KAIMRC including the Publication Office that was launched on February 08, 2016 as well as the new King Abdullah Medical Research Award. This award represents a major step forward in recognizing and rewarding excellence in medical research nationally.
His Excellency Dr. Bandar Al Knawy and Dr. Ahmed Alaskar have also awarded the Staff Performance Award to the eight winners of the second quarter 2016 recognizing their outstanding performance, their dedication and their commitment to the successful achievements of KAIMRC mission. During the meeting, H.E. Dr. Bandar Al Knawy has stressed the importance and the strategic positioning of KAIMRC within the Academic Medical Center and highlighted the challenges as well as the way forward to collectively positioning KAIMRC as a world leading biomedical and clinical research center aligned with the Saudi National Vision 2030.
