● The Second day of the 7th Annual Forum for Medical Research will address yet another set of exceptionally important topics in medical R&D

On December 14, 2016, the second day of the 7th Annual Forum for Medical Research will address yet again another set of exceptionally interesting topics including how to contribute to Saudi national vision 2030 in particular how medical biotechnology can contribute to economic development. It is known that innovation in scientific and technological research and development is a key driver to economic prosperity.  A number of prominent speakers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and some international industry leaders will participate in this session. Key distinguished speakers include Dr. Ahmed Alaskar (KAIMRC), Dr. Khalid Al Saleh (Riyadh Tech Valley), Eng. Ahmad Al Shadooki (Taqnia), Dr. Ziyadh Alathari (SABIC), Dr. Klaus Lindpainter (Pfizer) and Dr. Philip Larsen (Sanofi).

A key to achieving recognition in the scientific field by peers is the ability to share innovative research results through high quality publications. A whole session dedicated to this important topic will take place during the second day of the forum with the participation of world leaders in the scientific publishing industry including Dr. Trish Groves (BMJ), Mr. Mohamed Yahia (Nature Research) as well as prominent academic researchers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabic including Dr. Mansour AlGhamdi (KACST) and Dr. Ahmad AlJada (KAIMRC/KSAU-HS).

A session dedicated to innovate medical research and industrial perspectives of diabetes will also take place during the second day with the participation of a world renowned figure in diabetes research, Dr. Philippe Froguel (Imperial College London) who was featured among the top 100 most cited researchers in the world during the last 10 years. The session includes also Dr. Philip Larsen, Vice President R&D at Sanofi and Dr. Ali AlaQarni a prominent physician and head at KAIMRC Eastern Region.
