 Collaborations and Partnerships

The department plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC). Our dedicated team focuses on fostering innovation and enhancing research output through strategic collaborations, seamless contract management and effective management of intellectual property. 
The Collaboration and Partnership Department consists of several specialized units:

  1.  Partnership Relations and Initiatives Management Office (PRIMO): PRIMO conducts regular reviews of current partnerships and collaborations, ensuring timely access to information and best practices. It maintains a strategic approach to KAIMRC collaborations and manages national initiatives aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030 and building a network with investors and SMEs in the biotech sector.

  2.  Contracts Unit (CU): The CU serves as the central hub for developing all contractual arrangements with academic, government, and industrial entities. This includes Research Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Material Transfer Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and various other contractual agreements.

Innovation & Technology Transfer Management Office: The Key services for the office include managing intellectual property in research and development collaborations, technology licensing, managing proof-of-concept projects, market assessment of potential intellectual properties, and IP protection.
